Envision, if you can, a remote island far from the shores of fair Milan where castaways struggle for survival amidst the forces of both light and dark magic. This "Gilligan's Islandtm" meets "Harry Pottertm" scenario is the setting for Shakespeare's final and most poignant comedy about betrayal, revenge and redemption. Join us as we explore love, hate, forgiveness and a truly unique array of Shakespearian characters who closed out the Bard's playwriting career. |

Our Story
KP Drama produces and performs two to three plays each year. These include an annual holiday production each December, a Spring production in May, and an occasional February senior-directed show. As of Autumn, 2007 our new home is King Philip Regional High School's brand new King Philip Theatre, where more than fifty students both on stage and behind the scenes work for months to bring audiences such terrific holiday shows as A Christmas Story, favorite comedies including You Can't Take It With You , immortal Shakespearian theatre including Much Ado About Nothing, powerful dramas such as Inherit the Wind, and entertaining musicals like Anything Goes! In addition to our fine performers, more than twenty superior technical theatre students are members of the Grady Auditorium Production Staff (GAPS). These students, in co-operation with the technical theatre program at Rhode Island College and numerous alumni volunteers, design sets and build scenery for each show, create and implement lighting and audio designs, operate the theatre lighting and sound systems, and attend to all aspects of theatre operations in both the KPMS Auditorium and KPRHS Theatre for town meetings, assemblies and other public events throughout the school year.
