Three  Subject Notebook
All students are required to have a three subject notebook.  The first subject is for Problems of the Day.  The POD will be posted on the easel in the front of the room everyday.  You are required to attempt the problem on your own first, and then we will discuss it together.  Even you are absent, you are still responsible for the POD!  The second section is for notes.  I will give you any notes for which I will hold you responsible.  During notes, you are required to write down everything that I put on the board.  Again, if you are absent, you are still responsible for the notes.  You will have an open notebook quiz on PODs and Notes for every term.  If you take then both down daily, these will be easy one hundreds.  Make sure you stay current with your notebook.  The last section of your notebook is for homework.  In order to receive full credit for you homework assignments, you must fulfill the criteria listed below.  I check homework assignments daily and do not accept late homework.  Homework is used as a tool for learning, so ask questions!!!
Calculator
This is allowed all year for eighth grade students.  Seventh grade students are allowed to use calculators after Chapter 4.
