KING PHILIP REGIONAL MARCHING BAND
Dear Students and Parent/Guardians:
This has been a very rewarding year for me to watch our students compete and perform at such a high level while adapting to changes in our philosophy and schedule. I can sincerely appreciate the commitment all of the students have made, especially the seniors, who may have had disappointment in our decision to limit our performance arena. In the end King Philip has impressed judges, directors, and maintained the standard for excellence set by our predecessors. You have much to be proud of.
This weekend marks the end of our festival performances. Attached are the itinerary, directions, and order of appearance for the state finals. Please be advised of the following to help make this weekend a success:
Tickets for MICCA finals $ 10.00. I believe students and seniors/students are $ 5.00 at MICCA.
We will be leaving after our performance on Saturday, October 25th to make sure our students are well rested for Sunday.
Sunday's awards end at 8:00. Return to King Philip will be around 9 PM. Our performance time is 3:30 PM. Anyone wishing to take one's child home after the performance must provide a note to Mr. Tileston.
Clocks are set back an hour this weekend, so we gain an hour of sleep Saturday night. Let's be wise in our use of that luxury.
Seniors will have pictures taken at MICCA Finals after the performance. This will be used in our video production.
The band will have pictures taken at MICCA Finals by Championship Photography. The Photographer has contracted with MICCA to have this opportunity. Therefore, no cameras are allowed in the photo area.

Please get yourself ready to have a great weekend of performance through great rehearsals all this week. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CLOCKS GET TURNED BACK THIS WEEKEND AND WE ACTUALLY GAIN AN HOUR OF SLEEP SATURDAY NIGHT. (YEA!)
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 25TH
12:30 PM Rehearsal @ King Philip
3:30 PM End of Rehearsal (Eat Meal - Bring Coolers, Get into uniform, Pack equipment)
4:30 PM Depart for New Bedford HS (Directions attached)
6:00 PM Arrive at New Bedford (Prepare for performance)
7:55 PM Performance Time
8:40 PM Depart for King Philip
10:00 PM Return to King Philip - Pick up students in back of school.
WE WILL NOT BE STAYING FOR AWARDS. Because of the next day's event students should get home at a reasonable time and get the rest that will provide them with the energy needed to perform at their best.
NO ENTRANCE BEYOND CARPENTRY SHOP ALLOWED! UNIFORMS PUT BACK, EQUIPMENT TRUCK WILL BE UNPACKED.

4. Bear Right to take the I-495 SOUTH ramp towards FOXBORO/BOSTON 18.8
5. Follow the ramp to RT-24 SOUTH towards FALL RIVER 3.1
6. Continue South on RT-24 2.3
7. Take the exit towards TAUNTON/NEW BEDFORD, exit number 12 (RT-140) 0.0
8. Take the RT-140 SOUTH exit towards LAKEVILLE/NEW BEDFORD 0.0
9. Bear Right onto COUNTY ST 0.5
10. Continue on RT-140 SOUTH 11.1
11. Follow RT - 140 to the end 4.5
12. Turn LEFT onto route 6 0.0
13. Follow to second set of lights and turn left 0.0
14. Bear right after about a 1/3 of a mile 1.0
15. School will be on right after stop sign. 0.3
DIRECTIONS TO BOWDITCH FIELD
Framingham
Take 495 North to Mass Pike
Take Mass Pike East to Route 9 Framingham Exit.
Take Route 9 East towards Boston
Take the Framingham State College, Route 30 Exit (Edgell Road/Main Street Framingham)
At top of ramp take right (Chauk Ambulance and Center Video are landmarks)
Follow for about ¼ mile until intersetion with monument.
Go straight and keep the monument on your left. Bowditch field is about ¼ mile down on your left.
