KING PHILIP REGIONAL MARCHING BAND
Dear Students and Parent/Guardians:
Firstly, I want to congratulate all of you for working so hard these past two months. The band has grown every week in leaps and bounds and this past weekend’s triumphal performance at Giant’s Stadium was a well-earned gift to all of us. This week we will unveil the third and final piece to our 2003 show. Please read the following itinerary for important information pertaining to the shows. We are now in the two shows a weekend mode that is both exciting and tiring.
As we continue on, we are also going to find this time period is going to fly by. Many have asked about the TBA dates on the calendar. Here are the decisions on these:
October 25th – New Bedford – Exhibition in NESBA show in New Bedford
November 1 – NO SHOW.
Our season will end on Sunday, October 26th at Framingham, MA. This means no rehearsals on October 28 or 30th.
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 11TH
9:00 AM Rehearsal @ King Philip
NOON End of Rehearsal (Eat Meal – Bring Coolers, Get into uniform)
1:00 PM Prepare for Homecoming Game
2:00 PM Tuesday night discussion will determine whether or not we do the show or perform as a pep band.
4:00 PM Rest period at school – eat dinner
6:45 PM Get back into uniform
7:30 PM Prepare for performance
9:15 PM Performance Time
9:30 PM Awards Presentation – MICCA Event (USSBA Badges do not work)
10:00 PM Get out of uniform – meet in end-zone for dismissal
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 12TH
9:00 AM Rehearsal @ King Philip
10:15 AM End of Rehearsal (Eat meal – Bring Coolers, Get into uniform, Pack equipment)
11:15 AM Depart for Methuen High School (Directions Attached)
12:45 PM Arrive @ Methuen High School (Prepare for performance)
2:00 PM Performance Time
4:30 PM Awards Presentation – MICCA Event (USSBA Badges do not work)
5:00 PM Depart for King Philip
6:30 PM Return to King Philip
NO ENTRANCE BEYOND CARPENTRY SHOP! UNIFORMS AND EQUIPMENT ALL TO BE PLACED IN CARPENTRY SHOP IN ORDERLY MANNER.
DIRECTIONS TO METHUEN HIGH SCHOOL
1 RANGER ROAD
METHUEN, MA
1. Take 495 North
2. Take Route 213 West
3. Autos turn right at ramp onto Pleasant valley Street
Trucks and busses turn left onto Pleasant Street
4. Trucks and Busses go Right onto Jackson Street and enter Road on Right
Cars turn left onto Pleasant View Street past Nicholson Stadium and Turn right into parking lot.
