Course Achievement Targets
The Course Achievement Targets designate what students enrolled in each course are to know and to do. The content is defined by four common factors: knowledge, reasoning/problem solving, performance skills, and products. Our goal is to ensure that the same course, taught by several teachers, has the same Course Achievement Targets. Teachers of sequenced courses then will have common expectations about student learning no matter who has taught the course the prior year.
The Course Achievement Targets have been developed by the staff who teach these courses. The purpose of the targets is to provide the content focus of each course for staff, parents, and students. The staff will continue to develop Course Achievement Targets for those courses not currently listed and modify those that currently exist.
Ultimately we continue to work to develop a seamless curriculum, available to all staff, parents, students, and other members of the community.These documents are published here in PDF format,
