Community
The King Philip Regional High School serves three small suburban
communities with a total population of approximately 29,000.
These three towns of Norfolk, Plainville, and Wrentham are
centrally situated between Boston, Massachusetts, and Providence,
Rhode Island. There is easy access to Routes 495 and 95.
School Characteristics
King Philip Regional High School is a high school for grades
9 through 12 with a student population of approximately 1150.
Curriculum
The curriculum is designed primarily to prepare students
for further education at four-year colleges, two-year colleges
and technical schools.
Advanced placement, accelerated, and honors courses require
in-depth study and can only be taken with teacher/administrator
approval. All college preparatory science courses have labs.
In 2005-2006 advanced placement courses are offered in Art,
English, Biology, U.S. History, Economics, U.S. Government,
Calculus, Statistics, Chemistry and Physics. Independent study
is an option in all content areas for seniors. Students are
allowed cooperative study at colleges.
