The Media Center subscribes to a variety of magazines to support the curriculum and general readers. Magazines are kept for a minimum for three years. However, copies of heavily used magazines are kept indefinately for reference and research.
Recent magazines are indexed and abstracted using EBSCO-Net. This is an Internet-based database which is searchable by subject, author, magazine and multiple keywords. The traditional Reader's Guide to Periodical Literature is also available back to 1961.
Magazines which are of particular value for reference and research are also subscribed to in microfiche form. Five microfiche readers are available, two of which have printing capability.
