KING PHILIP COLOR GUARD WINS SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND WGI REGIONAL
| WRENTHAM-The King Philip Regional Color Guard was crowned Scholastic A Southern New England Regional Champions of Winter Guard International on Saturday in Trumbull, CT. with a score of 82.9. Earlier this season the guard also won the New England regional championship in Salem, MA, where they received a final score of 76.2. |
| King Philip's guard has 23 members ranging from grades 9 through 12. The guard performs to the music of Bach's Jesu Joy of Man's Desiring with dance movement, props, and colorful flags. |
| This coming Saturday, March 8th, the guard may be seen at King Philip High School which is hosting a NESBA color guard and percussion show. |
| Since 1990, the King Philip Regional Indoor Guard has been supported both by the King Philip Regional School District and the King Philip Music Association. The guard is led by seniors Shalyn Simmer, Renee Robinson, Rachel Cardillo, Katie O'Neil and Emily Jaronski. |
