Introduction

There is a MAJOR PROBLEM at the King Philip Museum of Fine Arts (KPMFA)!!! You and a group of fellow Ancient Roman historians have been asked to solve it! The board of directors at the KPMFA is creating a new Ancient Rome Exhibit and only has room to place two (2) artifacts from this fascinating classical civilization. They have asked five of the top experts (your group) to choose artifacts that best represent Ancient Rome. Each person in your group is an expert on a particular group of Roman citizens. Artifacts should be pictures of one object or building and should best represent the citizens they choose and Ancient Rome as a whole. Keep in mind: There are five of you and the group can only pick two!!!

5. Where was/is the artifact located?

Process

After completing your research, get together as a group and decide which two (2) objects should be placed in the KPMFA. This may result in some tension between the group. Stay focused -- Why do these artifacts best represent Ancient Rome? List reasons for and against each artifact. Then determine which two should be chosen.

1.

The group will need to create a seven slide Power Point presentation.

2.

Each person will be responsible for creating a slide with pictures of their artifact and the reasons why it should be chosen.

3.

The presentation should include each person’s answers from the Quest (Task.)

4.

The last two slides (or more if needed) should contain the final two artifacts and the reasons why they best represent Ancient Rome.

5.

If you do not have access to Power Point software, then you may create your presentation using art supplies (the old fashioned way).
