• SEPAC - Special Education Parent Advisory Council

    Contact: Elizabeth McManus

Welcome to the King Philip Special Education Parent Advisory page. Still a work in progress, this page will alert and notify members of important meetings, workshops, links to websites, and other information parents of special education students may want or need.

This important organization's mission is to work for the understanding, respect, and support of all children with special needs in our community. As such, SEPAC supports a network of parents of children with special needs as follows:
Share and provide informational programs and forums to parents, educators, students, and professionals
Promote communication among local, State, and National organizations, councils and groups
Advise and support the Director of Student Services and the School Committee regarding special education programs
Promote communication programs within the community to encourage understanding, acceptance, and inclusion
To this end the King Philip SEPAC will be hosting several informational and training series in the upcoming months. New this year, we will be utilizing Connect Ed to notify parents via email. We will also forward notices of various seminars and programs in the area that may be of interest to parents of children with a disability. If you do not wish to receive these emails, or only want to receive emails about KP sponsored events, please let me know. We hope you will find this information helpful and that you will attend future KP SEPAC meetings.
To become involved in KP SEPAC please contact me at mcmanuse@kingphilip.org or Lisa M. Moy, Director of Student Services at 508-520-7991.
