A Message from the Principal
Dear KP Families,
It is with great pride and enthusiasm that I write this letter of introduction to you as the new Principal of King Philip Regional Middle School. I am so honored and grateful to have the opportunity to work with a school community that is so clearly student-focused and committed to both individual and collective excellence. In my short time here, I have already realized that King Philip Regional Middle School is a place where the faculty and staff are dedicated to students’ success and truly care for students’ well-being.
Before joining King Philip Regional Middle School, I had a variety of teaching, learning, and leadership experiences in the field of education. I have a Bachelor's degree in English from the State University of New York at Albany, a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Secondary Education from Rhode Island College, and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Bridgewater State University. Currently, I am in the dissertation phase of the Doctor of Education program at Northeastern University, focusing on curriculum, teaching, learning and leadership. Prior to King Philip, I spent 17 years at the Milton Public Schools, and have held various teaching and administrative positions, including High School Mathematics Teacher, Department Head, Vice Principal, and K-12 Mathematics Curriculum Director. Although I have had the chance to work with students of all ages during my career, I have found that I particularly enjoy working with middle schoolers. Further, I am lucky enough to have two middle school-aged daughters, ages 11 and 13, at home as well! I am excited and eager to bring my skills as an educational leader to King Philip Regional Middle School and to partner with you in order to ensure your child’s success.
One of my goals is to make sure that our students and staff are healthy, happy and safe – so that we can learn and grow together. I hope to build strong relationships with King Philip Regional Middle School students, teachers, and families. You will find me in the hallways, classrooms, and at school and community events. My door is always open, so please feel free to call or email me to discuss any concerns that you might have throughout the school year. Thank you for the opportunity to serve your families in this role. I look forward to meeting each of you and working with you this school year.
