Mrs. Alison Reyes

Greetings:

Welcome to my King Philip profile page.  This is my ninth year teaching Language Arts at KPMS.  I am honored to be serving as the Curriculum Team Leader as well, and I am pleased to say that we have an amazing team of dedicated, hardworking teachers in the department.

In 8th grade: Conor Jacobsen, Lauren Duffy, Ashley Langmead, and Sarah Bond.

In 7th grade: myself, Melinda Parker, Dan Parker, Kasey Ellis, and Keith Williams.

ELL support and literacy skill development are provided by: Pamela Hughes-Rogan and Shelby Russell.

This year I am excited to be part of the 7th grade Yellow team.  As a team, we will continue to develop and utlize Google classroom with our students.  In addition, we will be reaching the various needs of ALL students through co-teaching classrooms and heteregeneous class groupings.  I have the privilege of teaching three classes with Mrs. Ellis this year.  We have a dynamic year ahead of us, and we plan to teach your child to critically think about the world around them, and to express themselves in a respectful and convincing manner.

I look forward to inspiring, engaging, and developing your child's curiousity, literacy skills, and passion for learning- both in and out of the classroom.

On a personal note, I have two daughters, Julia, 17 and Olivia, 21, so it may be comforting to know that I have persevered through the challenging middle school years as a student and as a parent, and so will you!  If you need any advice, or a little pep talk, feel free to reach out. After all, it takes a village, doesn't it?
