WRENTHAM — Superintendent Dr. Rich Drolet, Principal Nicole Bottomley, Advisor James Dow, and Vice President of Operations Caitlin O’Brien are pleased to announce that KP DECA members recently participated in the State Career Development Conference (SCDC) in Boston.
Members of the King Philip Regional DECA chapter of Massachusetts DECA joined 4,000 high school business, finance, hospitality, and marketing students at the annual association career development conference, held Feb. 27 through March 1.
“The positive energy from KP DECA this year is overwhelming and inspiring!” Advisor Dow said.

These students will advance to international competition at the DECA International Career Development Conference, which will be held April 26-29 in Orlando, Florida.
“We are incredibly proud of the students’ hard work and how it has shaped their future careers and networking skills,” said KP DECA Vice President of Operations O’Brien.
As an integral part of the classroom curriculum, DECA’s industry-validated competitive events align with the National Curriculum Standards in marketing, business management, administration, finance, hospitality, and tourism career clusters.
“The unwavering hard work and dedication of our underclassmen paired with the inspiring leadership of our upperclassmen are the driving forces behind the success of our chapter,” said Madison Asprelli, KP DECA President.
DECA’s competitive events directly contribute to getting every student college and career ready by the time they graduate high school. More than 200 business professionals evaluated the members’ performance through roleplays, case studies, and prepared presentations.
