Support Services
The Arc of South Norfolk offers a wide variety of services for individuals and families living in South Norfolk County and the surrounding communities.
Our Adult Day Services Programs are funded by MassHealth. They offer individually tailored services for a diverse group adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Our community includes persons with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy, sensory and mobility impairments.
Family Support Program
The Family Support Center at The Arc of South Norfolk offers a wide range of general family support services and activities to families of children and adults who are eligible for DDS services and living at home with their families. Referrals for Family Support are made by DDS, although they are willing to help all other callers.
Family Autism Center
The Family Autism Center at The Arc of South Norfolk offers a wide range of general family support services and activities to families of children and adults who are diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder.
ALEC First Responder Training
ALEC (Autism & Law Enforcement Education Coalition) is a First Responder Autism Training targeted to equip First Responders with the knowledge and strategies to best serve individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders in a crisis situation.
Support Groups
Family Autism Center and Family Support offer a variety of Support Groups for family members of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other related developmental disabilities.
Social / Recreational Programs
The Social and Recreational Department offers extra-curricular activities for adults over age 22.
Harbor Counseling
Our Harbor Counseling Center is an out-patient mental health clinic that provides long-term and short-term therapies for adults with developmental disabilities and their families
In addition, The ARC of Massachusetts provides SUPPORTbrokers on a fee-for-service basis. Consumers or families hire a support broker to help them find appropriate services and supports to thrive in their community. Brokers can help consumers find transportation, a place to live, someone to help them with daily living skills, a job counselor, and other linkages within the community. Brokers can also facilitate and create a person-centered plan and help consumers apply for Social Security or health insurance, among other benefits. Click here to learn more about these services.
