King Philip DECA Holds Annual Breakfast and Installation Ceremony

Superintendent Paul Zinni, King Philip DECA Marketing Coordinator James Dow and DECA Vice President of Marketing Emma Sheehan are pleased to announce that King Philip DECA hosted its annual breakfast and installation ceremony earlier this month.

On Thursday, Nov. 18, King Philip DECA held its annual breakfast and installation ceremony. At the ceremony, 84 members and the new chapter officers were officially installed into the King Philip DECA chapter.

During the ceremony, Superintendent Zinni spoke to members and their families about how honored he is to have DECA offered in his school district as it is such a rewarding program to take part in. Also in attendance was First Lady of Massachusetts Lauren Baker who spoke about how proud she is to be involved with the King Philip DECA program.

Following the installation ceremony, members and their families enjoyed breakfast catered by the cafeteria before taking the annual chapter group photo on the turf field.

“We are pleased to have inducted 84 members, both returning and new members, into our DECA chapter,” Dow said. “I look forward to another great year as we continue to grow upon our chapter’s past achievements.”

King Philip DECA then went on to attend the DECA Ultimate Power Trip conference that was held in Boston from Nov. 19-21. At the conference, King Philip DECA members took part in several workshops covering topics such as career planning, college planning and leadership skills.

King Philip DECA members also took part in the mock role-play during the Power Trip conference with Emma Sheehan and Amelia Penny placing in the top 48 out of 1,400 participants.
