King Philip Superintendent Paul Zinni, Plainville Superintendent David Raiche, Wrentham Superintendent Allan Cameron, Norfolk Superintendent Ingrid Allardi, and Regional Director of Wellness Dot Pearl are pleased to announce that the districts will be hosting the workshop “Let’s Talk About Mental Health” for parents and caregivers.

WHEN:

Monday, May 2, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

WHERE:

King Philip Regional Middle School, 18 King St., Norfolk

WHAT:

The “Let’s Talk About Mental Health” workshop will be presented by the Mental Health Collaborative, a local organization focused on building informed, resilient communities through education and awareness.

The workshop is aimed at increasing mental health literacy, and helping parents and caregivers learn how to talk about and support the mental health of children. As part of the workshop, those who attend will become more mental health literate.

“In recent years, there’s been a strong emphasis on the importance of mental health and wellness as an integral part of everyone’s overall health,” Director Pearl said. “Through events such as this workshop, we hope to engage our community members in thoughtful discussions surrounding mental health and we look forward to speaking with all who can attend.”

Anyone with additional questions should reach out to Director Pearl at pearld@kingphilip.org.
