**POSTPONED**Healthy KP Substance Use Prevention Coalition to Host Presentation on Talking to Kids About Drug and Alcohol Use

**Due to inclement weather, the event has been postponed to Tuesday, Feb. 27.**

WRENTHAM — The King Philip, Norfolk, Plainville and Wrentham Schools Director of Wellness Dot Pearl and Healthy KP Substance Use Prevention Coalition Program Coordinator Oomiya Kawas are inviting parents and caregivers to attend a substance use presentation next week.

WHEN:

Tuesday, Feb. 27, at 6:30 p.m. Presentation to begin at 7 p.m.

WHERE:

King Philip Regional High School Library, 201 Franklin St., Wrentham

WHAT:

Join the KP community for a presentation from Dr. Safdar Medina entitled Edibles, Vapes & Spiked Seltzers: Tips for Talking to Your Teens about Drugs and Alcohol in Today’s World. Those who attend will learn about the trends and impacts of substance use and the vital role of parents and caregivers in supporting youth.

Dr. Medina is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at UMass Chan Medical School, the Director of Pediatrics at Tri River Health in Uxbridge and School Physician for Northborough and Southborough School Districts. He has experience in treating youth with mental health and substance use disorders.
