Important Message from Paul Zinni Superintendent of KPRSD

Dear King Philip Regional School Community Members,

We are writing to inform you that the district has been made aware of rumors circulating on

Snapchat and TikTok about potential threats of violence made towards multiple schools within the Tri-Towns, including our middle school.

School administrators reported the unspecific, unsubstantiated threats to the Wrentham, Plainville and Norfolk Police Departments. At this time, the school administration and our local police departments are working collaboratively to continue investigating the origin of these rumors.

The threatening language involved in the threat was generalized, and investigators do not believe there is an active danger to our school community at this time. However, out of an abundance of caution, there will be an increased police presence at all schools within our district for the remainder of the week.

We take all threats extremely seriously and, as always, our school community’s safety is our top priority. Please rest assured that there is no credible threat to our schools, students or faculty, at this time and that our schools are safe.

We encourage anyone with any information regarding this threatening post to come forward. Any information can be helpful and will contribute to the overall sense of safety and security in our schools.

We are continuing to investigate at this time and additional information will be shared once available. We appreciate your continued patience and understanding.

Sincerely,

Paul A. Zinni

Superintendent of Schools
