Welcome Back Message From the Superintendent

Dear King Philip Regional School Community Members,

We hope you are all enjoying your last remaining days of summer and are preparing for your return to school this Tuesday. While we know many of you may already be celebrating this holiday weekend, we wanted to share some information ahead of the first day of school.

We ask that all families have their students’ immunization forms completed ahead of the first day of school. There are specific immunization forms for those entering seventh grade and those who turned sixteen years old. Anyone with questions about these forms should reach out to their school nurse. Those in seventh grade who do not have their immunization records on file will not be allowed to attend school on Tuesday for their health and safety and the health and safety of others.

Similar to past years, students will once again be offered free lunch for the 2022-2023 school year as part of Gov. Charlie Baker’s one-year extension to the School Meals for All legislation. With this extension, all KP students, regardless of income level, will be offered free lunch during the school day.

Also, I am pleased to announced that once again, we will be able to offer late buses after school. This year they will run on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Information about buses and late buses can be found on the district website. Those wishing to stay up-to-date on all the latest school news and updates are encouraged to subscribe to our site to receive email alerts whenever new information is shared. To sign up for email alerts, visit the district homepage and enter your email address to receive alerts. All the information students should need to have a successful year can be found on this page!

As always, we would like to thank our students, staff and families in advance for their patience and cooperation during the first week of school. As we get back into the swing of things there may be a few hiccups, especially in the areas of transportation as students familiarize themselves with bus pick-up and drop-offs, however, we are certain all of our community members will meet these challenges with grace and understanding.

We look forward to the start of another great year. Have a safe weekend and we will see you on Tuesday!

Best,

Superintendent Paul Zinni
