Virtual town hall meeting

Dear King Philip Community Members,

I hope this letter finds you well. As some of you may know, the district has a Strategic Plan for
the 2019-2024 school years. This Strategic Plan features a set of objectives and goals the
district hopes to implement/work towards implementing to continue to move the district forward.

One of these goals is to grow and sustain a mutually supportive and trusting relationship with
stakeholder groups for the benefit of the mission and vision of the KPRSD and to sustain a
positive connection with and among the community at large. To achieve this goal, we have put
an emphasis on sustaining effective and purposeful communications with external stakeholders.
To date, we have done many things to continue to improve communication including having
weekly newsletters sent out by our building principals and hosting town-hall meetings or sharing
surveys to drive engagement and receive feedback from community members.

Some feedback we initially received was that our old district website wasn’t user-friendly or
effective in sharing information and resources. In response to this feedback, we embarked on
the journey of redesigning our website with the goal of ensuring that all district information can
be accessed in an easier-to-navigate, intuitive manner. This journey culminated in the launch of
our new district website at the beginning of our last school year.

Now that our website is a year old and all of our community members have had the opportunity
to familiarize themselves with it, we would like to continue to get feedback from you all.

We invite interested community members to join us during a virtual town hall meeting on Oct.
13, 2022 at 7PM to celebrate the success of our website and discuss any
updates community members would like to see. How about changing all community
members to interested community members…

During the meeting, community members will be able to share anything they wish to regarding
school-wide or district communication and our website. Attendees will also be able to ask
questions. Joining me in on the meeting will be Middle School Principal Michelle Kreuzer, High
School Principal Dr. Lisa Mobley, Director of Technology Michael Bois, and representatives from our
website developer John Guilfoil Public Relations.

We hope to have a great turnout and receive feedback from our community members that will
help us in continuing to grow and improve as a district. I look forward to seeing you all there and
hearing your thoughts.

Best,
Superintendent Paul Zinni
